Web Sites / Email footers
New legislation has come into force this month regarding the inclusion of company information on websites and e-mails.
The new law states that every company must list its company registration number, place of registration and registered office address on its website and in email signatures. This information is already required on written correspondence, but the new regulations extend to websites, order forms and electronic documents including emails.
The new legislation is as a result of the UK government implementing a European law – the First Company Law Amendment – into UK law.
