Double Click
Not just for running programs!
Few people use this windows feature fully.
In Word, it high-lights the complete word you are on (triple-click for sentence). In the left margin, it highlights the paragraph (triple click for entire document).
In Excel, double-clicking the dot on the bottom right of a highlighted cell copies it down to the bottom of the block of data.
Handy!
Trade Names
One client of mine registered a company to protect a name and then found that someone else registered the same name as a trademark and is trying to stop him using it! This is complicated legislation but remember that company names, trade marks and e-mail addresses are all entirely separate and have very different rights. http://www.patent.gov.uk/tm/benefits/index.htm has some useful information.
Humour
All my best jokes came from Colin who sadly passed away a short while ago, so no jokes this month.
It's a tribute to him that, while dying of leukaemia at the age of 44, he never lost his sense of humour.
We'll all miss him.
On a happier note however my wife produced a baby boy over the week-end. Life goes on - literally!
